“Kelsborrow Choir – a mixed voice choir led by John Evans, accompanied by Lynne Cowley, provided a sung-through selection of six songs. The standout number for me was ‘Only Remembered’ (from War Horse) – Only Remembered is an 1891 hymn with words by Dr Horatius Bonar and music by Ira D. Sankey. The lyrics were adapted for War Horse by John Tams. A brave choice to start with an a-capella number, and brave to the solo singer for leading the song.”
