Kelsborrows History

The Kelsborrow Choir takes its name from Kelsborrow Hill, a feature of the village of Kelsall near Chester in the county of Cheshire where the choir was founded in 1956 by a group of parents from the local primary school to support PTA activities and fund-raising.

In 2006 the Choir celebrated its 50th Anniversary rapidly outgrowing its original purpose, the 58-strong mixed voice Choir is now firmly established on the Chester musical scene and performs regularly, both locally and internationally. Members are drawn from throughout the surrounding area.

A registered charity, the Kelsborrow Choir gives concerts in support of local and national charities.
