Past Event: Tues 30th Sept 14 Concert at Eaton Hall, Chester, with Alex Flanders, trumpet soloist

The choir enjoyed another splendid evening in concert in the wonderful surroundings at Eaton Hall, Chester,  singing to a capacity audience.  The concert had an assortment of music to suit all tastes, from a medley of the songs from Oliver, through the modern Adiemus by Karl Jenkins, to the old spiritual, Down to the River to Pray (popularised in the Cohen Brothers film,  “Oh Brother where art thou”).

We were very privileged to also be able to present Alex Flanders, a very talented young trumpeter from Northwich, Cheshire, who added thrilling variety to the evening with his repertoire of popular and more esoteric pieces, ably supported on the piano by our brilliant accompanist, Margaret Corlett.

Irene Wilkinson and an army of helpers laid on a superb range of deserts and drinks to really top the evening off, and we raised £1,000 for Clatterbridge, the renowned cancer hospital near Chester.

Social event – Murder Mystery evening

Social events are an important part of the choir activities in the Chester  area and beyond, and when possible, we like to share them with others.  Come along for a fun packed evening!

Why not organise a party of eight and have a table for your group? If fewer than eight,  just join other tables.Murd
